I had been a mobile photographer for 3 years, visiting people to take pictures of their tiny babies, and bringing a massive amount of gear with me, seriously, loads. My lights, bowls, baskets, blankets, fabrics, wraps, bonnets and the list goes on!
When we bought our home here in Bishop Auckland, we had a list, as you do, of requirements, things that the house needed to have, and in amongst that list, was a space for my photography business to run from! Our house has wonderful high ceilings and lovely big rooms, so I pinched one, just for me,well, for Remember When Photography. It is my little piece of heaven, when I’m not shooting in there, I like to just sit in there and get my creative mind flowing.
Now, before we turned the room (which was a bedroom) into a studio, it needed a lot of work!! There was plastering to be done, the floor needed ripping out, floorboards fixing, new floor laying, walls painting, and some big old fashioned built in wardrobes needed to removed or renovated (we chose to renovate, into a more modern Ikea style storage system for all my lovely props), the renovation list goes on a little but I won’t bore you with all that.
So now the studio is ready and looking all clean, fresh, and pretty!
I will have tea and biscuits waiting 😉
Here are some of the things I have in the studio that I will be using during your newborn session! So many pretties!!! xx
